Balloon Powered Cars

In K-2 Morning STEAM Surge, we made balloon powered cars! We learned about propulsion and Newton's third law of motion. Students began by creating slots in the cardboard base for their axles to fit through. Next, they hammered wheels on the axles. Then they added their staws and balloons to the top of their car. We ran out of time today, but students can also decorate their cars and race them!
