Pi Day STEAM

We celebrated Pi Day in STEAM with three different activities!

1st grade students made Pi Day Crowns! I printed large print graph paper on 11x17 paper and labeled the digits of Pi in each column of the graph paper. I then had students color the corresponding squares with each number (creating essentially a bar graph). Students then cut own the graph and attached it to a band they decorated with....CIRCLES!

2nd and 3rd grade students did some Pi Day weaving by weaving the digits of Pi into a paper plate. We added in some art by watercoloring the outside.

5th grade students used Google Sheets to create a bar graph that represents the digits of Pi. They printed out their graph and water colored the background to make it look like a skyline at night.
