Geometric Bubble Blowers

The week before spring break was beautiful here! We rarely get this warm of weather in late March, early April, but it was amazing. I knew I had to find a way to get the kids (and myself) closer to the sunshine! With third grade students, we took STEAM lab outside. Students gathered up Snap Circuits, K'Nex, and Zome Tools. Before class, I made bubble solution so they could build bubble blowers with the Zome Tools. Students thought they were pretty cool! Check out the results! This is a great way to experiment with 3D shapes and designs. We were a bit limited to the designs because of the small size tub of bubble solution I used. Next time, I'll make sure to get a bigger container so they can dip more elaborate Zome Tool designs into the solution.
