5th grade has been working to determine ways to save the Earth's natural resources. Students began by determining what our natural resources were. We then discussed negative impacts to our resources. Next, students determined a natural resources they were passionate about saving. In small groups and individually, students drew their plans and discussed their ideas with their peers. Once students narrowed down their ideas, they began developing working models if possible and some prototypes of their solution to combat the negative impacts on natural resources. Some of their solutions include kinetic powered vehicles, advanced water filtration systems, vacuums for beach cleanup, and earth friendly soaps.
