Designing Bat Wings

Inspired by a lesson from the blog, Plans for a Better Tomorrow, my kindergarten students designed Wings for our wingless bat! Students used various weighted paper and experimented with folding, cutting, and taping wings onto their bat. They tested out how well the bat floats and soars in the wind tube. This was perfect for Halloween and taking about design with aerodynamics in mind!
